Spectacular scenery & first class service in an elegant setting that cannot fail to captivate your loved ones. I don’t know about you, but ‘relaxed elegance’ is exactly how I would sum up my dream big day. And that’s how the lovely people at Scotland Run Golf Club wedding venue describe their wedding experience. And after visiting on many an occasion, I’d have to say they are absolutely correct! Having your wedding hosted at the Scotland Run Golf Club is a relaxing and refined experience. And every couple I have witnessed tying the knot at this venue has fallen in love with not only the decor and the soothing ambiance, but also its attentive staff, a true team of individuals who provide a uniquely personable service. Plus, if you or your partner is a golf fan, this venue is a no-brainer!
When on the hunt for wedding venues in New Jersey, there are of course a lot of options. And that’s why I write these posts, in the hope that I can help you shorten your shortlist and hone in on the venues that are really worth a visit. The Scotland Run Golf Club in Williamstown is one wedding venue that I truly believe should be on your ‘gotta check it out’ list, because it ticks so many boxes for most engaged couples in New Jersey. To better illustrate this, I’ll go through each noteworthy location at the club and highlight why you’ll love it!
The entrance to any wedding venue is so important, as it sets the tone for the rest of your visit. If there’s trash on the grass and graffiti on the walls, you’re probably not expecting much in the way of luxury from that establishment. The Scotland Run Golf Club prides itself on its supreme attention to detail, and their gardens and entrance are a prime example of this. Expert horticulturists maintain the greenery and grounds of this wonderful space, while their designers have built an entrance that not only looks pretty, serving as the perfect backdrop for portraits and sparkler exits. But is also functional, giving couple and guest the freedom to use the space what ever the weather.
So you’ve entered the Scotland Run Golf Club wedding venue, and you’re excitedly making your way to your wedding ceremony, what should you expect? Well, as you walk down the stone pathway towards the ‘ceremony pavilion’ your first reaction will be, “wow’. Its so unique, so special and personifies that relaxed elegance I was talking about. The pavilion can hold 250 of your nearest and dearest and as this is an outside space, it can be heated according to the weather, plus the side walls can be rolled down to keep out the wind and the rain. Your exchange of vows takes place inside a beautifully decorated gazebo attached to the pavilion, which looks even more stunning when decorated with fresh florals and fairy lights.
You’ve said ‘I do’ and now it’s time for your thirsty wedding guests to toast your nuptials, and the New Ottinger conservatory at the Scotland Run Golf Club is such a cute spot to host your cocktails. A wonderful room that showers its guests in light and even features a huge balcony that opens up onto the grounds. The conservatory is also the perfect spot for your New Jersey wedding photographer to shoot some first look shots, portraits or smaller group photos because the light is just so delightful. Now, the climax of your wedding at Scotland Run Golf Club, your reception celebrations, and this will be held in their ballroom. A huge and graceful space that can comfortably sit up to 250 people, and still have room for that cigar bar your partner insisted on having! With floor-to-ceiling windows and a view out onto the golf course, the ballroom is blessed with an abundance of natural light and magnificent scenery. Alongside that the room is wonderfully spacious and designed using the venue’s sumptuous taste for fine architecture and decor.
