Relaxed elegance, fine food and sumptuous surroundings combine to create a dream location to tie the knot. I have been fortunate enough to capture wedding photography at Woodcrest Country Club on many an occasion, and never has it failed to deliver on style and enchantment. Located in the pretty township of Cherry Hill New Jersey, this beautiful wedding venue and golf course is a fabulous weekend wedding destination away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Woodcrest Country Club has been delivering exceptional service, breathtaking views, and fine dining since 1929 – and it only seems to get better! If you’re a golfer in New Jersey you may already be aware of this lovely club, but you may not know just how special their weddings are, so keep on scrolling!
Nestled within over 75 acres of stunning grounds, Woodcrest Country Club offers its couples a breathtaking backdrop to their wedding day, be it outdoors in the summer months or inside one of their sumptuous ballrooms during cooler periods. Most couples only use the indoor location as a backup option, which doesn’t mean that it is not special, but the outdoor option at the club is just so sublime. A luxury tented pavilion is where ceremonies take place. A roomy space, romantically lit with large fairy lights and modern chandeliers that hang elegantly above the aisle. Nuptials are back-dropped by a chic wedding arch that can be customized to suit your theme, and guests are seated neatly in rows within this super stylish insta-worthy space.
Once your vows have been said, and those rings have been placed, it’s time to toast your marriage! And the Woodcrest Country Club wedding venue doesn’t just do any old wedding cocktail hour, their drinks receptions are a feast! When booking your big day, you’ll be given an extensive choice of food themes not just for your reception, but for during cocktails too. From Tapas to Indian, Asian to Israeli – the chefs at Woodcrest Country Club offer an amazing variety of international and national cuisines to delight your loved ones, and soak up some of that always bountiful wedding champagne! But you must save some space because the cocktail hour is of course not the main event! This venue has a multitude of delicious options for your plated dinner reception, and all of which are served with immaculate presentations. Also, their desserts are not to be missed, on my last visit I sneaked a little bit of everything and loved it all!
If you’re still able to move after the cocktails, finger food, dinner, and dessert – it’s time to dance! And party time takes place in one of two ballrooms at Woodcrest Country Club, the Flynn Ballroom or the Fountain Ballroom. The first is the larger of the two and can host up to 250 guests in a room that is designed to be customized. With neutral styling and elegant detailing, you’ll find it a breeze to make this ballroom your own and subsequently fashion it to suit your theme. The Fountain ballroom is the smaller of the two, with a capacity of 150 – which is perfect for more intimate receptions and smaller guest sizes. Both of these rooms benefit from delightful natural light via huge windows overlooking the golf course, and the latter ballroom has a prime view of the 18th hole! Once grandma is safely tucked up in bed, and the kids are asleep, there’s no reason to stop the wedding celebrations at Woodcrest Country Club! Bar 1929 is the newest addition to the club’s repertoire and its custom-built bar and late-night comfort food menu is perfect for when you don’t want the night to end!
