Jenna and Rick were planning on having their wedding take place at the lovely beaches in Long Beach Township at the Brant Beach Yacht Club Wedding venue that was all about spending time with their closest family and friends…what more could you want from that??
Jenna and Rick were getting ready at their own parents’ house because they didn’t want to do a First Look and wanted to see each other when Jenna walks down the aisle on the beach outside the Brant Beach Yacht Club.
Following the lovely outdoor wedding ceremony, the party continued on inside for the reception with non-stop partying and dancing the night away.
The couple snuck away during cocktail hour to shoot some portraits outside during the lovely sunset. From the bride’s gorgeous dress to the incredible cloudy sunset, they couldn’t have asked for a more astonishing beach wedding!
Jenna and her bridesmaids were up so early in the morning with their hair and makeup artists. All so they can look their best. Since they were getting ready much earlier than Rick and his groomsmen, I started capturing some details of Jenna’s astonishing wedding dress and all precious moments, before moving over to capturing Rick and his groomsmen.
There’s so many things to remember to capture when shooting a wedding and so many important moments to capture. It’s sometimes easy to miss the simple wedding detail shots. These smaller details are often things that have been painstakingly chosen by the couple in the run-up to their big day.
Once the details were captured, I moved on to capturing some candid moments of Jenna and her bridal party, with her dear mother included as well. One must always capture key moments like interactions with family members. They want to look back on these memories and reminisce.
Some of the key moments included Jenna opening a bottle of champagne on her parents rooftop(with a pre-toast to celebrate the upcoming festivities) with her girls, in matching shirts, which were gifted by Jenna. Once the bubbly was consumed, the girls got into their dresses and then captured some group portraits before moving over to Rick to capture him getting ready.
Over at Rick’s parents house, the groomsmen got ready and made sure that Rick looked his best! What was different about this wedding was that Rick and his Groomsmen didn’t follow traditional wedding attire. A traditional wedding includes the groom and his buddies wearing a tuxedo or some form of Suit to finish off the full look. Rick and his groomsmen wore a white button down shirt and beige vest, with no coat as they would be getting married on the beach! Talk about planning ahead!
Once done getting ready, we took some group portraits of Rick and his Groomsmen outdoors out on the gorgeous waterfront. The groomsmen were all gifted some fun socks and we had to show some leg when taking the group shots. I want to capture these moments as they happen. If they are fun and silly and outgoing, why not capture that! Its not all about the smiles and forced poses.
Rick and Jenna chose the perfect spot and the weather turned out beautifully!! With amazing panoramic views of the water, make the Brant Beach Yacht Club a premier Long Beach Island wedding venue.
Finally, the time had come for the ceremony to start. Rick was very patient(or impatient as he calls it) for his bride to be, walk down the aisle. All guests were ready to take their seats sitting on the lovely, sandy beaches. The look on Rick’s face was priceless and tried to hold back tears when he saw his gorgeous fiance(and soon to be wife) for the first time in her lovely wedding dress!
The officiant was a close relative and he was happy to oblige when asked for perform their ceremony. What better person to ask, as he knows the best stories and he didn’t hold back, giving up some secret stories of Jenna and Rick’s relationship. The guests and couple were all laughing from start to finish, making this one of the happiest wedding’s ever shot and I was happy i was able to capture their precious day.
The lovely couple read their heartwarming vows to each other and finally said “I do!”
Once Jenna and Rick finished their “I do’s” and guests receded and moved indoors to enjoy their cocktail hour festiviites. The new happy couple stayed on the beach to capture some portraits as husband and wife. There were beaming with so much emotions we had to remember that they had a cocktail hour and reception to attend to. So we shot them on the dock for a couple of minutes before running back indoors. We want our couples to enjoy their cocktail hour!
Jenna and Rick made their grand entrances to a standing ovation indoors at the Brant Beach Yacht Club. They immediately went into their first dance for the first time as Husband and Wife. As they swayed and swayed and looked lovingly into each other’s eyes, other guests were invited over to join them!
Everyone brought their dancing shoes because they partied all night. The couple ended the night slicing into their decadent wedding cake!
