An ancient brewery steeped in history and blessed with one of the largest outdoor decks in Philadelphia. Is there anything better than a cool, fresh beer enjoyed outside on a sunny day? If there is, comment below because I can’t think of anything! And when I say beer, I don’t mean a tall glass of Bud, or a bottle of Coors lite. I mean a proper, craft beer that has been brewed by hand, and made by someone who cares. An IPA maybe, or a refreshing pilsner – whatever your poison may be, it always tastes better when it’s brewed with some soul. And today’s venue certainly has some soul, and some outstanding craft beers that I have had the privilege of sampling on more than one occasion. Yes, our featured wedding HYPERLINK “https://www.manayunkbrewery.com/” \n _blankvenue is the Manayunk Brewing Company in Philadelphia. A charming, trendy and relaxing place to tie the knot.
We begin with a short history lesson. The Manayunk Brewing Company Wedding Venue is an integral part of the local history in Philadelphia. Constructed in 1822 by Ann Dawson, the building was first designed to be a cotton mill, to take advantage of their key location at the mouth of the Manayunk Canal. The building changed hands in the early 1900s, and was converted into a woolen mill, which operated as long as it could, until all textile production moved overseas. The building was then bought up in the early 90s by a local entrepreneur, who turned the huge space into a retail operation, and created The Manayunk Brewing Company. The brewery has been filling glasses of local, quality craft beer since 1996, and has become a firm favorite among the ale-aficionados of the town. Manayunk began hosting HYPERLINK “https://www.manayunkbrewery.com/private-events-venue/weddings/” \n _blankweddings back in 2004, and soon became one of the coolest, and most unique places to celebrate in Philadelphia.
The Manayunk Brewing Company Wedding Venue is a superb choice for couples looking for contemporary design, fused with industrial details in a relaxed setting. The dedicated private event space on-site is called The River Club, and it is a renovated loft space that can host up 175 seated. Or if you’re looking for more of a cocktail vibe, you can certainly squeeze a few more in. This is the largest room on offer at The Manayunk Brewing Company, and there are other options if you’re planning a smaller wedding. For instance, The Jazz Room is perfect for weddings of less than 100, or for rehearsal dinners and engagements. Or, if you’re thinking of throwing a micro-wedding, there is also ‘The Upper Deck’ and ‘Tree Tops’ rooms, both ideal for intimate seated, or cocktail style gatherings. And don’t forget, The Manayunk Brewing Company have one of the largest outdoor decks in Philadelphia, so they’ll be plenty of room to host part of your wedding day in the open air.
I’ve seen the guys at The Manayunk Brewing Company Wedding Venue work, and they are so harmonious. Their team performs together so well, and manages to create an atmosphere that is joyously relaxed. Without feeling like they’re fussing over you, they just seem to know what you need before you do! Although, in my case its just another large IPA please! Their team offer a really useful range of services, from in-house catering and bartending, to all the linens and glassware you may need. And they have quality, chic materials on offer, so there really is no need to shop around.
You’d be forgiven for thinking that getting married in a brewery means eating whatever is on the specials board, paired with the last remaining beer available on tap… But that’s certainly not the case at The Manayunk Brewing Company Wedding Venue. They have a culinary team on-site, a talented group of chefs who will work with you before the big day to craft a menu that reflects you, and your guests. With dining options such as cocktail hour hors d’oeuvres, plated dinners, buffet counters, chef stations and much more. Personal bartenders (dream…) will be on hand to pour your drinks all night, and that doesn’t mean just craft beer. They can also provide quality spirits, specialty wines and soft drinks.
I urge you to visit this wonderful wedding venue in Philadelphia because their space is stunning, and so unique. Their peak seasons stretch from April through to June, and from September through December. So get in quick and HYPERLINK “https://www.manayunkbrewery.com/contact/” \n _blankbook your drinking session wedding venue visit today.
